Driving from Arusha via Ngorongoro takes most of a day on rough roads. Flying from Arusha to Seronera takes about an hour, and our ramp-equipped vehicle meets you at the airstrip. Many guests drive in through Tarangire and Ngorongoro and fly out at the end.

Is the Serengeti wheelchair accessible?
Yes. Game drives are done from the vehicle, and we use ramp-equipped Land Cruisers. We choose lodges with step-free routes and accessible bathrooms and confirm the details with photos before you book.
What is the best time for an accessible Serengeti safari?
June to October offers dry roads and the Mara River crossings in the north. December to March is calving season around Ndutu. Wildlife is good all year in the central Serengeti.
Can I fly into the Serengeti with a wheelchair?
Yes. Light aircraft fly to Seronera, Kogatende and other airstrips. Steps are narrow, so our team and the airline assist with boarding; folding wheelchairs travel in the hold.
Can wheelchair users take a Serengeti balloon flight?
It depends on how you transfer. Guests are helped into the basket; we confirm your needs with the operator before booking.
